LETTERS From John Power, Cowes: I CAN answer Delia and Mike Allen’s question as to what Needles Relief 1962-1987 on the car badge relates to ( CP, letters 20-08-10 ). In the days when lighthouses and lightships were manned, many yacht clubs used to organise visits at Christmas to those reasonably close to hand over presents to the crews who would be spending their Christmas manning the lights.
