It takes very long for an Appeals Council decision, often over a year.
You can show your lawyer this chart from a recent year
/disability/
Even though the Appeals Council has a smaller workload than the ALJ,
there are only 30 some administrative appeals judges and 30 some
appeals officers as opposed to 1,000-1,200 ALJs.
