I think what we have decided to do is to refile on our own without the
lawyer, we had him on a contengency (sp?), so he would have made a
pretty penny had Dad's backpay been approved.
My question about the SSI is you or another Jack,lol, said there was
no waiting period. When we originally filed they tied the two (SSI
SSD) together. The hearing he had covered both with a start date in
2005. If he were to go and refile today what do we need to do to make
sure that doesn't happen again? Dad can't manage to wait as long for
SSI as it will take to get the SSD. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks
