Correct, as far as Medicare.
So your wife's insurance SHOULD pay first. [or pay only]. But that is a
question that only the insurance company can answer.

What I was saying that if you were to be admitted to the hospital from
the emergency room you would then become an inpatient, and part A would
pick up.

If your wife's insurance has been picking up your doctor's visits and
medicines they should have no problem with emergency room.
